 Final Exit Reunion
[Monday, January 1, 2007]

Yes it is true. In the mid 90’s me and David had a band called Final Exit and we are playing one show in Umeå the last weekend of March. We are also doing a discography that will be out around that time. The show will be a part of a festival called Umeå Open and some sucker gave me an entire stage to book bands. So there will be some sort of Ny Våg stage, so far the bands that are booked are: Final Exit, Separation, Asta Kask, Mattias Alkberg BD, Hjertestop, the Vicious, Knugen Faller, Henry Fiat’s Open Sore, The Vectors and the Bombettes. Should be great. Dont Miss it.

Love

 A Letter From Dennis!
[Monday, September 11, 2006]

So, there is something really abstract about thousands and thousands of people being into somthing that I did years and years ago. Although we all move on in life I would like to thank you all for being my friends and for being into the music and the ideas, means alot.

Anyway, I just wanted to do some blatant self promotion hoping that someone might be interested in what I am doing right now.

Since Refused broke up I've been busy spreading politics and loud rock music with the (international) Noise Conspiracy.

But the real reason that I am writing you right now is that on the 16th of October I am releasing a record with my other band The Lost Patrol Band. The record is called Automatic and is being released on Burning Heart Records (no Us Label or release date yet). Please check out new songs and a brand new video on:
www.myspace.com/lostpatrolband

The vinylversion will be released on My own little Punklabel that I started about two years ago so if you want to check out some great retro punk please check out:

I am also doing a podcast things on the Ny Våg records site where I talk shit and play old and new punk / powerpop and Hardcore music, so if you want to know what I am into please give it a listen.

There's rumours about me and David doing something together next, yeah... I will keep you posted on that. Something might happen.

Once again Thanks for being my friends and I hope that you have the time, desire or energy to check out what I am doing right now. Would be really nice.

Talk to you soon.

Arm yourself to Live, now more than ever.

Love

 The Chinese Democracy Of Punkrock!
[Tuesday, May 16th, 2006]

The "REFUSED ARE FUCKING DEAD" DVD is finally released and the response from media and fans so far has been overwhelming.

If you haven't seen this gem already you are really missing out on something! Our recommendation is: check it out and buy yourself a copy as soon as possible.

Just in case you been been in jail, been isolated at the Guantanamo base, or just recently woke up from a long beauty-sleep, here's reality: the almighty Refused were a band that changed the musical landscape for ever. For good and bad (if you ask them...) with bands all across the world paying homeage name-dropping the band as 'the shit' in regards to their -98 released masterpiece "The Shape Of Punk To Come". A record that had it been under the radar of big media magazines, rock critics would be hailed and praised like there was no tomorrow.

Some magazines has not missed out though. Germanys biggest indie/alternative magazine Visions ranked the album as the #9 most important album ever. We're talking competition with Neil Young, Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Metallica etc - all the big dinosaurs. The UK's Big Cheese had the album as #2 in their listing of the most important punk/hardcore albums ever. If I am not mistaken "Never mind the bollocks" were at #1 and The Clash "London Calling at #3". And some more modest Britons over at Kerrang voted the record number #13 of the most important records ever.

Wíth their swansong "The Shape of Punk To Come" Refused managed to kick-start something huge, and in the wake of it has become to modern punk/hardcore/the new school what Minor Threat became in the 80´s, or what the Pixies became for the indie/alternative scene. A band that will continue to influence bands and individuals for many years to come.

In other words: no excuse this record should not be in your collection.

Here's a bunch of reviews we just picked up, and a link to a great feature/interview with ex-guitar player Kristofer Steen (maker of the film):

The DVD "Refused Are Fucking Dead" set for release!
[Tuesday, February 7th, 2006]

Refused are dead. They spent their last year in existence touring godforsaken hellholes scattered around the western world. This is their testament.

In 1997 Refused wrote and recorded their farewell record, the seminal "The shape of punk to come", hailed by many as an undisputed masterpiece of the genre.

Years of intensive touring were finally paying off some and yet within the band there brooded a feeling of bitter fatigue.
Weary and tired Refused dutifully put on a series of uninspired performances, grinding what little energy they still possessed down to nothing.

When the police officers finally forced their way through the crowd at their very last show with the intention to shut it down, it seemed a fitting end to a story of revolutionary romanticism and merry rebellion.

However, the band members felt liberated as well as conflicted by the intervention, far from the defiant emotions of their audience.

In this undaunted documentary, Refused guitarist Kristofer Steen retraces the steps of how punk rock’s brave new sound forged it’s way through the swamps and swill on their last campaign in Europe and America, rushing like mad dogs to meet with their inevitable doom.

Also includes exclusive live-footage from "The Shape Of Punk To Come" era!
